The playground is the fastest way to try a model without writing code. It uses your signed-in session and the active organization. You do not paste an API key. Tokens are still billed to that org’s credits at Bedrock list rates.

Use it

  1. Open Playground or click Playground on a model in the catalogue.
  2. Confirm the organization in the sidebar is the one you want billed.
  3. Pick a model and send a message. Replies stream as they generate.

When to use the API instead

Use the playground to compare models and prompts. For apps, Claude Code, and Cursor, create an API key and call the OpenAI or Anthropic endpoints.
